What Could Be

 What about a State Park?

Picayune should be more then a place for South Florida Water Management and Forestry to conduct experiments.

What about turning this into a "real" State Park, the revenue would be incredible and the money could be used to keep the park running for generations to come, not only that but with the diagram I drew below more jobs could be created. In the below gallery I have pictures documenting all the great people I have meet from the United States and Canada who come down to enjoy the canals with (used to be) great bass fishing, cool nights to camp in to witness the best nature has to offer in the State of Florida, they all agreed with overwhelming support and said they would thoroughly enjoy a park like this. A park like this could really become a premier spot for South Florida and the United States most importantly.

Diagram Outline:

  • 52 Campsites along the canal (instead of 18-20 all bunched up together.)
  • The campsites along the canals are a mile apart and the opposite side canals are a ½ mile apart so you don’t have to be looking at your neighbors’ camp.
  • Effort to restore nature fish and wildlife (ie, shock exotics and restock with bass)
  • 18 Mile Buggy Trail to do charters for the people from out of town in need of a scenic tour.
  • Buggy’s to run from daylight to dusk, this would give our wildlife a chance to themselves with out annoyances’ from us. Presently anyone can run around 24/7 not giving wildlife a break and destroying there nature habitats with 4 wheelers, trucks and more.
  • 13 Mile Horse Trail
  • General Store and Registration with Wildlife Center- located at Everglades and I-75
  • Employ Park Rangers with on site living year round- this would be needed to enforce the parks rules and regulations.
