Under the Right to Know Act 117, I wanted these questions answered 1 year ago. They have yet to give me this information. I’m pretty sure it’s because they knew I would take it public and share this information with the other tax payers!

Once I have these answered you’ll be sure to know.

    Questions unanswered as follows:

    1. Who is in charge of the Picayune restoration? Who makes the final decisions?

    2. How many bids did you get for removing trees from Picayune? Who was in charge of giving out the winning bid?

    3. I want to know how many bids did you get for the pump stations, and I want to know who was in charge of giving the bid to the winner?

    4. (PUMP STATIONS)How big are the pumps (4 cylinders 6, 8, 12)? How many gallons an hour? How much maintenance do they require? Are the fuel tanks above ground or under? How big are the new canals? How much does each pump station cost?

    5. In the meeting I would like to ask: How many people in this room want to save our wildlife, raise your hands?
Why are you trying to run all of our wildlife off? The Deer hear population is probably 700 to 800. The bear population in Picayune is 20 to 30 at any given time, and don’t forget about the countless number of turkey.

    6. South Florida Water Management and Forestry are the biggest enemy’s our wildlife is facing today.
Water Management is using Picayune as a lab test, and Forestry is using Picayune as a training ground for new recruits.

    7. This isn’t about saving wildlife, it’s about the country commissioner’s wanting more water for more golf courses and Big Cypress Development.

    8. By the time you get done clearing the oak hammocks, cypress, cabbage and pine tree’s this 55K Acre piece of land will be reduced to about 30K Acres? Correct or Not?
